NHS Nottinghamshire Talking Therapies

 

Nottinghamshire’s new NHS Talking Therapies service is launching on 1 April 2023, covering the full footprint of Nottinghamshire’s Integrated Care Board. It is available to anyone aged 17.5+ and registered with a GP in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, or Bassetlaw either with a referral from a health professional, or via self-referral.

 

The service provides support for people experiencing mild/moderate symptoms of common mental health problems, including:

 

  • Low mood or depression

  • Worry or anxiety

  • Stress

  • Panic

  • Trauma

  • Issues related to long-term health conditions

  • Phobias

Nottinghamshire Crisis Sanctuaries

 

The Crisis Sanctuaries are providing an alternative support service for those approaching or in crisis, for the population of Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City. Primarily they’re drop in services so no referrals needed, however many service users call us for telephone support. The Crisis Sanctuaries have developed an effective approach, offering a flexible and holistic package of support, tailored to individual needs and circumstances.

The Worksop venue is open every Wednesday and Saturday.

Everyturn (formerly Insight) (Bassetlaw)

Everyturn provides talking therapies nationwide, predominantly commissioned by the NHS and local authorities, as part of the IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) programme. Currently providing 14 free-to-access talking therapy services throughout the country. You can refer yourself by phone or the chatbot on their website.

Turning Point Mental Health

Harmless provide postal and email self-harm support through a counsellor and other volunteers that have personal, supportive and/or professional experience of self-harm. At this point we regret we cannot provide face to face support, this is something we hope to achieve in the future.
